Market Open
Demand on the UK gas system has begun to fall off heading into the weekend and the system is currently forecast 8MCM long
with delivery rates little changed from yesterday. Withdrawals from Rough continue as storage holders sell remaining stocks. Typically for a Friday, the market has been slow to trade this morning and prompt contracts are yet to exchange. The little trade that has been seen on futures contracts has seen prices move only fractionally in either direction as the market lacks any obvious drivers this morning. The oil market is providing no influence with Brent virtually unchanged overnight and sterling is holding steady in early trading.
