Market Open
With temperatures approaching the seasonal norm, demand on the UK gas system is forecast below 250MCM today. Deliveries are running some 20MCM
short this morning with Langeled flows and LNG send-out both running 10MCM below Friday's levels. The prompt market has yet to trade but the new front month contract for June has opened sharply higher to trade at 39.10p. The front season contract for Winter 17 is up by 0.50p as the market a bullish mood prevails in early trading this morning. The oil market is little changed overnight but Brent crude is down 50 cents on Friday's closing level having traded and shed 55 cents yesterday.
