Forecasts for increased wind generation from today pressured prompt prices on the NBP on Friday as contracts declined by up to 2.80p. Early gains on the curve were reversed for the most part
over the session and the front month declined by almost 2.00p intra-day to close at 41.90p, down 0.18p day on day. Carbon EUAs continued to soften and contracts for 2020 and 2021 declined by a further 1.3% or around 30 cent per tonne. In the crude oil markets, prices ticked up slightly but over the week Brent was still $2.67 a barrel down.
