High wind generation in the UK power stack saw gas demand remain 25% below the seasonal norm yesterday and near prompt products fell sharply. The spot and day ahead contracts shed
over 4.00p while gas for the balance of the month eased by 0.90p to 27.45p. The front month closed 0.10p down at 41.87p but the rest of the NBP curve averaged gains of 0.33p as carbon EUAs and Brent crude ticked up. Brent crude settled 8 cents a barrel higher as improved sentiment surrounding the China/ U.S. trade dispute was offset by the results of the latest EIA inventory report.
